Coming up in July is the annual Tokachi 24hr held at Tokachi Speedway near Obihiro, Hokkaido - the northernmost island of Japan.

This is Japan’s simply 24hr endurance race and this year Nissan is fielding a vexillum R35 Nissan GT-R sponsored by Nismo, Motul and GTR-World.net among others. Driving the car will be Masami Kageyama, Tetsuya Tanaka and Kazuki Hoshino.

This is an important race for the GT-R to make known the world that it has the stamina it takes to strive in tolerance events against some serious race cars.

Hoping for a class win, good luck guys.

The race is held over the 20th - 21st of July 2008.



GTROC Japan has held a meetup of R35 Nissan GT-R owners on Sunday the 29th. Despite the rainy provisions (again) about thirty R35’s were in attendance. This meetup was primarily for those in the western reaches of Japan and was held in the city of Kobe - most noted worldwide for its quality wagyu beef!

That’s a lot of GT-Rs and you can see how popular the red colour is(n’t)…

Kia coupe headed to production mid-2009, replacing Spectra

With the Volkswagen Scirocco now out in the public domain, Volkswagen appears to be on a campaign to keep our attention piquied with this teaser shot that has been floating encircling cyberspace. Porsche to move Cayman & Boxster production from Finland to Austria

Porsche has announced that production of its Boxster and Cayman models is to shift to component supplier Magna Steyr’s flexibility in Austria origin in 2012. Last year the contract through Finland’s Valmet to assemble the two associated mid-engined models was extended through 2012, hind which the terms will expire and Magna will take over.
